Maine’s first ever Playmate is Miss June 2011 Mei-Ling Lam. She was born Waterville, a small town north of Portland. She’s half Chinese on her father’s side and French Canadian on her mother’s. Her family owned a restaurant in Waterville. As a native New Englander, she is an ardent Boston sports fan.

After competing in Miss Teen USA, Mei-Ling attended Husson University. She also modeled for companies such as New Balance and Hasbro. In 2010 she was selected as one of Maxim’s Hometown Hotties. Before appearing in Playboy she pursued entrepreneurial endeavors. By the time of her Playmate photo shoot, she owned a restaurant and a tea house. While she continued modeling after Playboy, Mei-Ling focused more on her entrepreneurial ambitions. She expressed interest in starting a new business with the money she made being a Playmate. She’s considering either a wine label or something fashion-related. She would like to one day settle down and have three children. She currently lives in Atlanta with her husband, Ken Oxendine, a former running back for the Atlanta Falcons.
