When she became the 55th Playmate of the Year on Playboy’s 60th anniversary, it was clear Playboy had something truly special. Kennedy first graced the pages of Playboy as the December 2013 Playmate of the Month. She came back for more as Playmate of the Year in the June 2014 issue with a time-traveling pictorial that took readers through the decades of Playboy with Kennedy as the tour guide.

Kennedy was born in Berlin and has traveled all over the globe. The daughter of an American serviceman, she has lived in 15 different countries including Italy, Japan, Thailand, Germany, Singapore, and France. She was raised in Virginia. Long before she was Playmate of the Year, Kennedy wanted to make travel documentaries. She’s well qualified to do so. She can speak multiple languages including German and Italian. Her jet-setting lifestyle as an international model helped develop her interest in anthropology.
A model since age 14, becoming a Playmate was something Kennedy looked forward to. She first submitted photos of herself in Chicago, where Playboy was founded. “I had decided I was done with modeling and thought becoming a Playmate would be the most amazing way to finish out my 12-year modeling career,” Kennedy said in her Playboy magazine interview.
