Joris van Daele

Joris Van Daele has extensive experience in photography and graphic arts. His primary love, which he has been pursuing for twenty-three years, is creating original fine-art photographs. Joris Van Daele began training in design and photography under Bert Kloezeman and acclaimed painter Patterson Ewen in 1969. He has taken additional art courses at the University of Western Ontario and Fanshawe College. He began his career as a professional photographer in 1970. He credits his technical skills in photography to mentors who shared their knowledge as he worked as a arkroom technician, reporter-photographer, medical photographer and commercial studio photographer. Joris Van Daele’s photography has been exhibited in many shows; his first was held in 1969. The prestigious Royal Canadian Academy of Arts selected one of his photographs to represent “quality contemporary Canadian art” for the mixed media exhibition called Spectrum Canada which toured internationally.
